A Pastor’s Perspective
Words can’t really express the deep gratitude that Nancy and I have experienced at your outpouring of care and love after the death of my mom last month. It has truly been heartwarming! Thank you for all the hugs, cards, and memorial gifts. It is great to be part of such an amazing faith community! Thank You!
SOUPER BOWL OF CARING! – This Sunday, our congregation is invited to bring non-perishable food items or monetary donations for our Souper Bowl of Caring outreach project. Our youth will be at the back of the chapel for the early service and at the back of the sanctuary at the late service to collect these items… All food items and money collected will go directly to Hope House! This is a SUPER way to help with hunger in our community!
THANK YOU! – Our congregation stepped up once again and made our outreach ministry to our local schools a great success! Through donations and your voting contributions at our Chili Cookoff, we raised over $500 for the Empty Bowls Project. These funds will allow over 50 kids to take home bowls they create for the School of the Osage art department’s annual chili dinner. The proceeds from this fundraiser go to local food assistance organizations, including Hope House! This year’s dinner will be held on Feb 17 at the high school before the home basketball game!
MOMENT FOR SPIRIT! – Our moment for spirit times in our worship services are meant to provide an opportunity for our congregation to hear stories, music, readings, and other meaningful experiences that people experience on their faith journeys. If you have something that you can share, I would love to hear about it! It’s fun, easy, and helps to enrich our congregation’s worship experience!
