Holy Week Approaches

The Lenten season is a time for reflection, study, and claiming that which calls us to fall short of God’s expectations for us.  As we approach Holy Week, our focus changes to the story which calls us once again to live into the calling of Christ on our lives.   We take time, once again to be participants in his journey to Jerusalem, and be witnesses to the power of death not becoming the final answer!

As we move into Holy Week, we have opportunities to connect with the story and to each other.   First, we experience Palm Sunday, with the celebration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.    We will not have an 8:15 service that day, so join us all at 10:30 am!   On Thursday of Holy Week, we remember the upper room and the meal and message he shared with his Disciples.  Easter morning we proclaim “Alleluia!  He Is Risen!”  and celebrate the empty tomb with an Easter sunrise service, our children’s program, and 10:30 service!

All of these opportunities to gather together in worship remind us that we are one.  We are community.  We are faith family, and that family is not complete without you.  So please make a special effort to be here for these special worship experiences.  They won’t be the same without you!  And maybe…just maybe, you won’t be the same as well!
