Christmas is near

Merry Christmas!  By the time you read this, Christmas will be but a few days off.  Just a few more days to shop, wrap gifts, bake cookies, prepare a Christmas dinner and all the rest of the things we do this time of year.  Some will be traveling to see family and friends.  Others will be home alone remembering loved ones who have passed on.  Christmas has different meanings for all of us, and each of us has our way of either celebrating or coping.  One thing we all have in common is that we have a Savior who loves us, and it’s on Christmas that we set aside time to honor his coming to earth.

I’m looking forward to our Christmas Eve service.  I hope you are, too.  It’s such a wonderful time when we get together to sing Christmas songs, listen to the scriptures of Christ’s birth, and light candles while singing Silent Night.  It just makes the holiday special.   I hope you’ll be able to join us, but if not, I hope that wherever you are that you have a wonderful holiday.
